Lewis County Tenant Based Rental Assistance

Housing Opportunities of SW Washington (HOSWWA) in partnership with the Lewis County Salvation Army, Human Response Network, Reliable Enterprises, Lewis County Housing Resource Center and Cascade Mental Health will provide tenant based rental assistance (TBRA) with supportive services to homeless and/or chronic homeless in Lewis County, Washington. Eligibility is determined and all families are referred by the partner agencies to the Lewis County Coordinated Entry.

Services provided by partners are designed to offer the most supportive environment possible to increase the likelihood of success for participants. The long-term goal will typically be to assist households in establishing systems for self-sufficiency and freedom from the need for continued social services.

Partner staff will monitor participation in supportive services. After completion of 12 to 24 months of TBRA participation, and if funding is available, clients will be transitioned to the (Section 8) Housing Choice Voucher program.

Salvation Army of Lewis County (Coordinated Entry) maintains a waiting list for this program and will determine the overall suitability of clients for the program. Eligible families are referred to HOSWWA.
