Public Meeting to be Held on Sunrise Village Design

Project Team will Discuss and Answer Questions About the Project

Longview, WA: Housing Opportunities of SW Washington would like to invite members of the public to join us for a meeting with the architect and developers for Sunrise Village. Sunrise Village, a proposed 40-unit affordable housing development in Longview WA, recently received the final funds needed to begin construction. A total of $16.6 million has been committed to the construction of this project. Funding sources include private investment through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program as well as the City of Longview, Cowlitz County, WA State Department of Commerce Housing Trust Fund, PeaceHealth Medical Group, and Community Foundation of SW Washington.

Sunrise Village will be located at 38th Ave and Pennsylvania St. in Longview, WA, adjacent to Longview Presbyterian Church and near Mint Valley Elementary School. This land was donated by Longview Presbyterian Church specifically for affordable housing for homeless individuals and families.

About HOSWWA: Housing Opportunities of SW Washington is a regional Housing Authority serving Cowlitz, Lewis, Pacific, and Wahkiakum Counties. The Housing Choice Voucher Program is active in all four Counties with over 1,500 vouchers for clients to utilize in private housing. The Agency also owns or manages 379 units of affordable housing. HOSWWA serves as a regional developer of affordable housing and has an active development pipeline.
